The story begins when a strange radio communication known as "the Broadcast" is sent across the world and causes the brains of a majority of people listening to it to explode. Two war vets, Frank Woodruff and Vladamir Farnsworth, survive the attack and gain super-intelligence and a knowledge of advanced technology. Frank, having previously lost his legs in the war, uses his knowledge to create mechanical walking platforms called "trenches", giving other disabled soldiers the ability to keep fighting the good fight. Vladimir on the other hand creates the Monovision, allowing people to experience the world from the comfort and isolation of their homes. Vladimir goes mad and becomes bent on spreading the message of the broadcast to the world. He constructs Monovision-based robotic creatures, comically referred to as "Tubes", and lays Monovision cables across the world. As Vladimir's forces spread, Frank's "Mobile Trench Brigade" take up arms to fight the tubes!
I have to say for the fifteen bucks it costs to get this game there is definitely enough content here to provide tons of fun. I'm looking forward to playing more and with Double Fine's track record for putting out at least one DLC pack for their download games I'm really excited for more content.
