What could have been one of the few third party games for the 3DS has been canned. Regrettably, Capcom has decided to cancel development on Mega Man Legends 3. Discontinuing the project and the Developer Room website will no longer be updated will undoubtedly result in a lot of angry fans and contributors. Capcom has written a Q and A and attached it to the press release (link below) explaining why they decided to do this.

Speculation after the release of a Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade trailer is that there will be two more new characters on top of the already announced Yun and Yang. Based on a still image of an angry Ryu and a white and blue Akuma, Street Fighter fans surmise the appearance of Evil Ryu and Oni Akuma. Check out the Japanese trailer and at 2:20, after the character roster montage the image in question appears. There is no official word from Capcom on existence of the two new comers. Capcom's Rube Goldberg-inspired puzzle mystery game has been announced for North America on the cool, but not spooky, date of January 11, 2011. 1-11-11 is a pretty rad date but has nothing to do with the main character Sissel's post life predicament of solving his own murder. Relative or not it's a unique date to match the unique game. If you haven't heard anything about Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, check out some of the trailer videos after giving the DS box art a quick eyeball. By Griff Hoffmann
Capcom is putting on a little scavenger hunt for those people residing in NYC. If you find one of the three precious posters and send a picture of it to the official Okami facebook page and get one of these babies: By Griff Hoffmann
In an announcement that is as exciting as it is fuzzy, Capcom reveled a new Devil May Cry game at their TGS conference. It is unclear whether DmC is a complete re-imagining of the Devil May Cry series or a prequel. What is clear is that Ninja Theory, developers of Heavenly Sword, will be co-developing DmC along with Capcom Japan and US branches. Check out the video and brace yourself for an awesome and very angsty looking Dante.

Capcom unleashed a killer surprise at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday in the form of an unlikely team up. Street Fighter X Tekken is underdevelopment for Xbox 360 and PS3 and will be combining the two beloved universes using the Street Fighter 4 and Super Street Fighter 4 engine. Tekken characters, Kazuya Mishima and Nina Williams were the only two revealed thus far, will be re-imagined into the inky 3D art-style to throw down against Street Fighter characters, Ryu and Chun-Li (again, the only two revealed), in rich and crazy 2D environments. Street Fighter X Tekken will have the standard fighting game modes such as Versus and Training, but will be feature a Tag Team element. Players will be able to choose two characters to execute special assist attacks and team up combos. Rest assured, the Tekken characters will retain their signature moves and unique characteristics in this cross universe mash up. Yoshinori Ono, the producer of Street Fighter and now of Street Fighter X Tekken, made the announcement along side Katsuhiro Harada, Tekken Project Leader. Yoshinori Ono expressed his excitement about the game saying "This is history we're making..." By Griff Hoffmann
